In which the first coin was made of Copper and Nickel metal, the second coin was made of Aluminum metal and the third coin was made of aluminum and magnesium metal. The five-paise coin is a former denomination of the Indian rupee. Whose 1 coin was equal to 1⁄20 of the Indian rupee. The 5 paisa coin was minted between 1967 and 1984. The 5 paise coin was minted in three Indian government mints Bombay (present-day Mumbai), Hyderabad and Calcutta (present day Kolkata) mint. Mumbai Mint coins have a mint mark ⧫ (diamond/dot) and Hyderabad Mint coins have a star (*) while Kolkata Mint coins have no mint mark.

On one side of these coins, there is a picture of Ashoka Pillar and on the other side of the coin, 5 paise is written. Made of Aluminum, the weight of these coins was 1.6 grams. The coin was square in shape and had a diameter of 22 mm. These five paisa coins were demonetized on June 30, 2011.

    The value of these coins depends on the year of minting and mint, with the Bombay Mint coins being the most valuable, ranging from Rs 25,000 to Rs 2,50,000.

Due to their rarity, these coins are in great demand among coin collectors.
